National Trust Downloadable Days Out

Kind were asked to create a set of pdf documents which could be downloaded and used by families on holiday in North Devon. Working to the National Trust brand guidelines we created a set of 6 A4 pdfs which overed 6 different kinds of days out. These were Beach Bum, Bird Spotting, Escape From It All, Extreme Adventures, Rock Pool Rambles and Wild Side. Illustrations were commissioned to give the cards an appeal to both adults and children. Each one was given a unique symbol and colour ways to tell them apart.

Fairmont Moscow Pekin Hotel Launch Press Pack

Material to impress the press was needed for a new hotel launch event in Moscow for the Fairmont Hotel Group. Kind supplied designs for a banner, name badges, e-mailable invites, a press release and a printed A4 brochure shown above. The brochure was in English and Russian and bound back to back so each language met in the middle with a series of impressive double page spreads parading the most iconic Fairmont properties – The Savoy, London, The Plaza New York to name drop just a few.

CRI Foundations of Recovery Workbooks

A new programme for service users of CRI services was introduced called “Foundations of Recovery”. Kind were asked to produce a workbook associated with the programme which spoke directly to the client on a down to earth level. The workbooks needed to be engaging and have the ability to be personalised and valued by the client, providing a resource that they could refer back to when trying to keep their life on track. Kind introduced bold words and timelines which could be used to scribble on. Some pages were blank for service users to doodle on and write their thoughts, without the restraints of a form-like box.

The Savoy Hotel London – Kaspar The Cat Information Card

A dinner was being held at The Savoy for potential owners. Joining them for dinner was Kaspar, a 3 foot high model of a black cat, made from a single piece of London Plane tree. In 1898 Wolf Joel, a regular Savoy guest arranged a dinner at the Savoy. One of his guests cancelled at last minute which left 13 to sit down for dinner. They laughed at the old superstition that when thirteen were seated together the first to leave the table would be destined to die first. A few weeks later Wolf Joel was shot dead in Johannesburg.

The Savoy set about making sure that there were never 13 guests to dinner ever again. Kaspar was made to sit on the 14th chair with a napkin tied around his neck. Churchill was fond of Kaspar and insisted that Kaspar be present at every meeting of his political dining club. The tradition continues.

This card was made to entertain the dinner guests with Kaspar’s story.

BP Risk Management Book

Small book designed to simplify risk management behaviours for BP graduates. The book worked with the analogy of bees and how they work together. Kind used bespoke printing techniques such as die cuts, goil foiling and inserting coloured leaves within the book. The book was also animated and could be viewed online. This project was directed by Tinderbox (see client list).
